Fight Club

Fight Club is a short game of reads, not gear. Three rounds, picked in secret. Win on smarts, climb the rating and earn a bonus that works everywhere in the game.

01 The short version

  • A bout is three rounds. In each one you and your opponent pick Strike, Guard or Grapple in secret. Every move beats one and loses to one.
  • Gear and level don't count. Only your picks do, so a new player can beat a veteran.
  • Take the lesson first. Your club's coach shows you how it works, then spars with you for free, as often as you like.
  • Your first 10 rated bouts of a season place you. After that your rating shows and you're on the standings.
  • Your club gives a bonus everywhere in the game, from +5% up to +15% in the top tier.

02 The three clubs

Each club gives a bonus to one stat, on everything you do, and has a signature move that scores 1 extra point when it lands.

Switching clubs is free before your first rated bout of a season, and costs 3 Favors after that. Your rating stays.

03 How a bout works

Pick a move for each of the three rounds, and put your Focus on one of them. Then the rounds play out one by one.

MoveBeatsPointsAlso
StrikeGrapple4The biggest hit, but a Guard stops it
GuardStrike3Gives you the edge in the next round
GrappleGuard3Gives you the edge in the next round
  • The same move on both sides is a tie. Nobody scores, unless someone has the edge: then they take the round for 1 point.
  • The edge comes from winning a round with Guard or Grapple, and lasts one round.
  • Focus doubles what you score in that round. If you lose the round, it does nothing.
  • Your signature move scores 1 more when it lands.
  • Most points wins. On a tie, whoever won more rounds wins, and then the fighter who was challenged.

04 Your defense

You never wait for anyone. When someone challenges you, your defense fights for you. For each round you set how likely each move is (tap a move for more weight, up to 3 dots), plus a Focus round. The game draws your picks from those odds, fresh for every bout.

The standard defense has every move equally likely. Nobody can see your defense or your habits, and you can't see theirs. A defense that always does the same thing is easy to beat once people catch on, so a little mix keeps you safe.

When someone beats your defense you lose the rating they gain, and when your defense wins you gain it. Only the fighters nearest your rating can challenge you, up to 3 times a day each, and fighters still placing never move your rating.

05 Rating, placement and tiers

Everyone starts a season at 1,000. A win takes rating from the loser. Beating someone near your rating is worth about 16. Beating someone far below you is worth little, and nothing at all once they're about 800 below. Losing to them costs a lot, so the top climbs by beating each other.

Your first 10 rated bouts of a season are placement. Your rating is worked out but hidden, and you're not on the standings yet. You can fight each fighter up to 3 times a day in rated bouts.

Tiers depend on where you stand among this season's placed fighters, not on a fixed rating:

TierWhoClub bonus
DiamondTop 5%+15%
GoldTop 20%+10%
SilverTop 50%+7.5%
BronzeEveryone else+5%

Diamond needs at least 10 placed fighters, so nobody gets it just for being early.

06 Seasons and titles

Season 1 runs until 28 December 2026. After that every season lasts 9 weeks. When a season ends:

  • #1 becomes Fight Club Champion and earns the Season 1 Champion achievement.
  • The top 1% become Fight Club Elite and earn Season 1 Elite.
  • Only placed fighters can win them. The next season starts your rating halfway back towards 1,000.

07 Tips

  • Think about the points, not just who wins. Strike scores most, so people love it. A Guard punishes that.
  • Put Focus where you're most sure. A doubled 4 or 5 often decides the bout.
  • Use the edge. After a Guard or Grapple win, the same pick as your opponent still takes the next round.
  • Spar with your coach to try ideas. It's free and has no limit.
