Contracts

01 The short version

• Start every contract you can before you log off. They run while you're away, and collecting one is free.
• The newest contract pays the most XP per hour, like jobs.
• Expect about 44% of the cash back on average. Contracts are a way to turn cash into XP.
• A bigger mafia runs more at once. Each contract needs people, and people out on a contract don't fight with you.

02 How a contract works

Every district has one contract, and it opens with the district. To start it you need the crew it asks for, the cash up front and sometimes some gear. Goods marked as used go with the crew and don't come back; tools come home with them.

Crew are the members of your My Mafia (not you) and any Top Mafia stand-ins you've hired. Stand-ins go out first. Members who are out on a contract don't count in your fights until they're back, but Top Mafia bonuses always count.

When the time is up, press Collect to see how it went.

03 The five outcomes

XP is a multiple of the contract's base XP (the list below), cash back a share of what you paid.

Your Top Mafia changes the odds: a Mastermind adds +10% XP, a Bagman +15% cash back, a Safecracker makes hauls and finds come up more often, and a Wheelman brings the crew home 10% sooner.
