01 The short version
- Do your jobs as usual. From 24 October to 3 November, any job can turn up Jack's Calling Card.
- Send it from Contracts to call Jack Malone. He's built for your level, so bring friends.
- Everyone on him gets 5 hits an hour for 6 hours. No stamina or energy needed.
- Take him down in time and everyone who landed a hit is paid. If he gets away, nobody is.
02 Finding Jack's Calling Card
While Halloween is on, every job you do has a small chance to turn up Jack's Calling Card: about one for every 1,500 energy you spend on jobs. Bigger jobs cost more energy, so they find one more often. It can't be bought, sold or traded.
03 Calling Jack Malone
Open Contracts → Event bosses and send the card. First you pick how the reward will be split:
| Split | |
|---|---|
| By damage | Whoever hits hardest gets the most. |
| Even | Everyone who lands a hit gets the same. |
| Host takes double | You get twice an even share, the rest is even. |
He starts out as just your fight. From his screen you can bring in your My Mafia, your family and/or everyone, in any mix, whenever you like. Up to 50 people can join, and you can have one boss of your own out at a time (you can help on as many as you're invited to).
04 Fighting together
Everyone on the boss gets 5 hits an hour. Your hour starts with your first hit, and all 5 come back together an hour later. A hit is a haymaker that always lands: it hits harder the more attack you have (gear for your whole fighting mafia counts, and a Button Man adds 10%).
How tough he is depends on who calls him: he's the district boss you'd be fighting at your level, 80× over, and never less than 3× what you could deal alone in 6 hours.
| Called at level | Built from | Health (at least) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Big Lars Brennan (Old Harbor) | 12,500 |
| 10 | “Slick” Delgado (Neon Row) | 30,000 |
| 20 | “Iron Mae” Novak (Redbrick Yards) | 38,400 |
| 40 | Tommy “the Butcher” Callahan (Hell's Kitchen) | 85,200 |
| 60 | Connie “the Anchor” DeLuca (Brooklyn Waterfront) | 163,800 |
| 100 | Sid “the Fence” Marlowe (Maxwell Street) | 316,400 |
05 What he pays
When he goes down, everyone who landed a hit gets a share, measured against their own game, so a low level gets a real boost too:
- XP: an even share is 15% of what your next level needs.
- Cash: an even share is 2 hours of your newest jobs' cash, in the city you're in.
- The Horseman's Effects: a piece of the event collection (vault the set for the Headless Horseman title).
- The Pumpkin Smasher title the first time you help take him down.
- Event gear: a 40% chance for an even share (by damage, from 10% to 80%).
By damage, a share runs from a quarter of an even share to twice it. Host takes double gives the one who called him twice an even share.
06 The Halloween gear
Jack Malone can drop the Horseman's Sword, Horseman's Cloak or Phantom Steed. You get the tier one step above the best piece of that kind you have from jobs, and 10% stronger than that next piece. It keeps its tier for good: levelling up never changes it, so your job loot catches up.
